Please send the names of those attending to Kyle Lutkewitte at kylelu@sas.upenn.edu.  Food will be provided. LGBT Screw Ball nominations – Wharton Alliance

For QPenn 2009, the Wharton Alliance is presenting its inaugural Screw Ball event for Penn’s lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender community, including all 12 undergraduate and graduate schools.

Screw Ball is an event for other members of the LGBT community to pair you up with your potential soul mate on a blind date!  There will be a few representatives who will negotiate among themselves who would be great matches where you will get to choose who has control of your fate.  Essentially, the date may not go so well, in which case you would be screwed, or it could go extremely well and could possibly still be screwed.  The Wharton Alliance will provide a romantic venue for all of these dates to occur simultaneously, and the tentative time is at 8pm on Wednesday, March 25th.

Nominations for Representatives

Because we want to make sure that you are matched with the best person, we need your help to find great representatives.  Please send us 3 possible names of people that you would be happy with to choose your date.  We will choose the ones with the highest number of nominations that represent our diverse community.  Representatives will be required to meet the weekend beforehand on Saturday March 21st to discuss pairing.

We need each person who is even considering attending to send their nominations for representatives to engvc@wharton.upenn.edu by Saturday March 15th.  This is important for us because we need to find an appropriate venue given the potential turnout.  Overall, this is a great opportunity to find true love, make a new friend, or just have a funny story to tell 5 years later, so let’s get screwed!
